North Shore was founded as a non-profit by a group of parents in 1974 in the wake of Title IX. Our founding parents wanted a safe place for their daughters — and eventually their sons — to experience the many benefits of sport through gymnastics. The community they built together became the foundation for the thriving, value-driven gym North Shore Gymnastics Association (NSGA) is today.
Providing a safe place to move, succeed, connect and grow is just as important today as it was in 1974. And NSGA wants to continue to be the place where ALL children can experience the power, beauty and benefits of gymnastics. NSGA’s reputation has put it at the epicenter of this growth in the Twin Cities metro and has grown to the point that a new, larger facility is critical to accommodate the many needs of our gymnasts, their families and our community. Check out the renderings of our exciting new space which will include multiple viewing areas, recreational balance beam area, dedicated men’s and women’s equipment spaces, in-ground trampolines and so much more!
