The North Shore women’s gymnastics teams delivered a strong showing Jan. 24–25 at the Twin Cities Invitational at Concordia University’s Gangelhoff Center, earning multiple individual titles and several team championships.
Athletes from the Xcel Gold through Diamond divisions and Developmental Program Levels 7–10 recorded numerous podium finishes over the two-day meet.
Competition opened with the Level 7 team. Harper Takunen, 13, of Plymouth won the bars and floor exercise, placed second on beam and captured first-place all-around honors. Evelynn Belgarde, 12, of Wayzata earned first place on floor and third on vault, while Ava Meyer, 12, of Rockford finished second on vault. In Level 8, Kennedy Farley, 14, of Long Lake placed second on vault and third on bars, finishing fourth all-around. Natalie Reardon, 13, of Wayzata placed fourth on beam.
