This past weekend North Shore gymnastics hosted the Shamrock Shake Invitational, which was held at the Gangelhoff Center on the campus of Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. It was the final meet of the season for the competitive girls teams, which will compete at the state meet in two weeks.
The Level 6 ladies started out the weekend strong, earning multiple top honors. Calla Larson (11, Sartell) had an amazing day and made multiple visits to the podium for third on Bars, third on Beam, second on Floor, and second All around. Teammate Colbi Shelp (12, Maple Plain) added to her medal collection with third on Bars and third All around. Evelynn Belgarde (12, Wayzata) also had an outstanding day with multiple top awards, including first on Vault, first on Beam, second on Floor, and first All around.
The Xcel Diamond ladies took the stage next, with Maddie Meyer (14, Rockford) earning third on Bars, and also qualifying for event finals which were held Sunday evening. Her outstanding Bars routine at event finals earned her first place honors, while her Vault earned her a second place medal as well.
