Jenny is a mother of two daughters, now 15 and 18 years old. Her family’s journey with North Shore Gymnastics began almost by accident, when her oldest daughter visited the gym on a preschool field trip at the age of three.
“Gymnastics wasn’t even on my radar,” she reflects. But that one visit led to enrollment in Mommy & Me, preschool classes and continued all the way through graduation. Her youngest daughter is still active at the gym today.
Choosing North Shore Gymnastics
For Jenny, the decision to stay with North Shore was about more than proximity or convenience, it was about trust.
“The most important thing was that it was a safe place to send my children.”
In a time when safety in youth athletics, especially gymnastics, has been under national scrutiny, North Shore stood out as a secure, nurturing, and principled environment.
A Place of Growth — Beyond Gymnastics
Jenny emphasizes that North Shore was instrumental in teaching her daughters critical life lessons.
“They learned how to deal with conflict, how to show up even when they were tired. These were things I couldn’t teach them as a parent.”
Neither of her daughters gravitated toward team sports, but gymnastics offered them the structure, challenge, and independence they craved. Through every stage, Jenny felt confident in the coaches’ ability to support and guide her children.
“The hiring at North Shore is excellent. I always felt safe leaving them for four hours at a time, even when they were very young.”
The North Shore Difference
According to Jenny, what truly sets North Shore apart is the family-friendly culture and deep personal connections between staff and families.
“At least three coaches came to my daughter’s graduation. That’s the kind of relationship we have.”
