Our Mission
At North Shore Gymnastics Association, it is our purpose to acquaint children at all levels of physical ability, potential and growth with the sport of gymnastics in an atmosphere of safe, fun, positive learning and to help each child develop gymnastics skills, good sportsmanship and self-discipline.
About NSGA
Proudly serving the western suburbs for over 50 years, North Shore Gymnastics Association is conveniently located a few miles west of Long Lake, just off of highway 12 in Maple Plain, MN.

Over 1,500 girls and boys ages 16 months to 18 years old participate in our progressive class program on an annual basis.

We are dedicated to developing gymnastics excellence while attempting to instill a strong physical and mental foundation for our boys and girls competitive gymnasts.
- Many of our team gymnasts have competed at the Regional and National levels and several have qualified for NCAA gymnastics scholarships.
Our Story
North Shore Gymnastics was founded in 1974 by a group of mothers who felt a tremendous need for gymnastics instruction in the Orono community. A parent group was formed to start a search for a coach and create a vision for the program. The plan was to have a comprehensive program that would benefit the entire community.
In January 1974, an agreement was reached with the Orono Independent School District granting North Shore Gymnastics permission to use the Middle School for its gymnastics program. In March 1974, North Shore Gymnastics became a Minnesota 501(c)3 non-profit Corporation, providing quality gymnastics instruction to children in the Orono and surrounding communities.

Board of Directors
North Shore Gymnastics Association is governed by an Executive Board consisting of an NSGA Executive Director, one representative from the coaching staff, and up to six appointed members consisting of a combination of NSGA parents and non-parent members (minimum of three/maximum of four non-parent members).
